HIRE CAR
The Apartment is now less than 40 minutes from Palma Airport thanks to the new motorway opened spring 2005. A hire car, though not essential, enables the visitor to see much more of this fabulous island. Many hire companies offer a large selection of vehicles that can either be booked from the airport or locally in Cala Egos and Cala D’or. In peak season it may be advisable to pre book before departure.
Last minute, out of season, we have had good deals from EUROPA-RENTACAR booked online before travel. However if you are confirmed to stay in our apartment we can give you the most up to date deals at the time.
You can still have a great holiday without a car though, thanks to:
THE CALA D'OR ROAD TRAIN
The road train is an inexpensive means of getting between Cala Egos, Cala d’or town and all the key places in between. It’s a pleasant walk around the marina, but if you have worn your legs out after a heavy shopping session in Cala d’or why not hop on the train, it returns to Cala Egos around the marina anyway.
LOCAL BIKE HIRE
Motorcycles, scooters even trikes can be hired locally in Cala Egos or Cala D’or. There are a number of outlets competing for your cycle hire custom as well.
ON FOOT
If you just want to chill without venturing further a field there really is no need for transport once you are in the resort. Beaches, supermarkets, restaurants and the marina are all easily within walking distance of the apartment.
